Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Bentley's custom coachbuilding division, Mulliner, has designed a unique keycase to mark the centennial of the company. It is made of Dark stained Walnut with Piano Black Veneer and includes a flying "B" paperweight keys, as well as an original 1930s booklet that features never-before-seen 1930s 8 Litre images.

It is the perfect gift to greet a new owner of their opulent vehicle.

Aesthetics

As a company that is primarily focused on design, Bentley takes its aesthetics seriously. It is evident in the precise placement of its quilting, the use of leather that is made from by-products of cattle and sustainable managed forests, as well as the unique patterns of its levers. When you drive by a car like the Continental GT W12, its sculptural beauty is displayed through carefully curated lighting.

The Continental GT is the most sophisticated open-top Bentley ever built. The rear tonneau on the Continental GT, for instance was the largest piece of dark-stained Burr Walnut veneer that was book-matched. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.

It is this bespoke design, quality and attention to detail that has established Bentley as the most sought-after automotive brand. The company continues to push the boundaries with the latest technologies and hand-crafted products. This includes the introduction of an electronic tilt-opening rear sunroof as well as a hand-crafted Apple iPad docking station.

Bentley celebrated its 100th anniversary in the year 2019 a century after it was founded. The marque, which is owned by Volkswagen on its own after years of conflict with BMW and Volkswagen, had planned a number of special launches and events to mark the occasion. The marque planned a number special occasions and bentley Key fob programming launches to mark the historic occasion before planning for a pandemic became a top priority.

Design

Bentley is known as a premium car manufacturer that produces lavish and extravagant cars. But even the keys are a statement. The Bentayga key is made of sterling silver and features an oversized 'B' logo that let everyone know that you drive a Bentley. It's also engraved with the years 1919 and 2019, to commemorate the company's centenary.

The Mulsanne was redesigned and developed by Bentley Mulliner to become the ultimate Grand Touring car. It comes with two pairs of rear seats that are inspired by luxury private aviation, providing passengers with unparalleled comfort and security. A custom heating, air conditioning, and ventilation system has been developed to provide each passenger with the perfect climate control setting.

In addition to a suite of elegantly executed styling revisions as well as a suite of stylishly executed styling revisions, the Mulsanne is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.75-litre W12 engine capable of producing 560bhp and 479lb-ft of torque. This amazing power is coupled with a new suspension system that gives Bentley's famously quiet ride.

In celebration of its Centenary, bentley Key fob programming introduced a unique specification called the Centenary Specification for vehicles built in 2019. The cabin is decorated with cross-stitching as well as contrast stitching in Centenary Gold throughout. The Bentley Wings on the headrests and seats are stitched in Centenary Gold, adding to the feeling of celebration. The Centenary Specification also includes a customized Bentley keycase to complete the Bentley experience.

Function

The Bentley Mulsanne key has an opening button for the trunk, as well as a button which starts the car. It also has a switch that can switch on the parking break. There is a knob to fold and unfold the mirrors when parking in tight spots. This feature makes it easier to get in and out of your car.

Each key takes about two days to create. The key is cut by hand, then shaped, sewed after which it is sealed and polished to create a high-end result. It is compact and strong and matches the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is similar to that of the Volkswagen Phaeton large car's key, but it feels much heavier and has a more premium feel.

Secure-A-Key is also included to help prevent keyless entry theft. This device is put into the remote control fob, and disables it in the event that the key isn't used for a few minutes. It blocks thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices that will allow the key to be opened and start the car.

Bentley's unique design is a reflection of the company's values which include exquisite craftsmanship, engineering expertise and modern technology. Over 4,000 people work at its Crewe headquarters, which is responsible for the design, development, and production of Bentley automobiles. They apply their expertise that have been handed through generations to current automotive technology. This is a characteristic of British manufacturing at its best.

Personalisation

Bentley's Mulliner division lets customers design their own vehicle. The customers sit at a set of pictures referred to as "mood stations" and choose a selection of images ranging from scenic views to sporting events that can inspire them. As each selection is made, a pattern is created that reveals the model and color preferences for the custom Bentley.

The configuration that is created is stored on individual R.F.I.D.-enabled keys which are presented to guests in a custom key case. The keys can be equipped with Bentley Muliner Personalised welcome lamps that illuminate the path of the door opening with the owner's name or logo as they approach the car.

Bentley estimates that it takes around 500 man-hours to build and put together the Mulsanne. The key to this time-consuming effort is a conscious refusal to adopt the latest technology. Instead of making use of a machine to space the perfectly matched leather seats workers at the Crewe factory do it by hand. Drivers must park their vehicles manually, instead of using the built-in sensors to guide them into perpendicular and paralell spots.

Edition, which pays tribute to the man who founded the company, William Osler Bentley. The limited-edition cars have 100 of them. the key with a special design that shows a slice of the 1930 8 Litre's crankshaft.
